partnerships with some of the worlds finest quarries,
ensuring that SSQ provide a reliable supply of the
highest quality slate.
SSQ
specialize in the supply of quality slate and as such
classify our products according to the French Classification
system, widely recognised as the most stringent in
the world.
SSQ
are the major shareholder of the San Luis Slate quarry
in Argentina, which produces the distinctive grey/green
Class A Riverstone slate.
SSQ’s
exclusive Class A partners include the Del Carmen
Quarry, which produces the distinctive blue/black
Del Carmen and Del Carmen Begonia Grey slates and
the Matacouta
quarry which produces the Matacouta
blue/grey slate, which is widely used in Scotland.
SSQ have been working with SIG Roofing Supplies over
a number of years, this relationship has grown into
a strategic alliance. SSQ supply SIG with exclusive
quarries such as Regalado and Lancara alongside the
other SSQ quality brands of Riverstone Grey/Green,
Del Carmen Blue/Black, Del Carmen Begonia Grey, Matacouta,
Quiroga, and Domiz, together with Canteverde and Amazonia
from Brazil.
Quality
control is an area which is of critical importance
to SSQ. There are quality control teams at source
to ensure our stringent quality control and selection
procedures are followed.The labelling on every palette
ensures that all SSQ’s slates can be traced
back to the producing quarry - from initial shipping
to final delivery on site.
