DRYCO SYSTEMS
DRY CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS
InduCo M
Description
The DryCo systems InduCo M board is a low cost fibre cement sheet that is non-compressed and naturally cured. The sheet has one fair face which is semi-smooth the reverse face has a dimpled finish. The sheet is natural cement grey in colour has a porosity of 29% and a density of 1400 kg/m³.
Uses
InduCo M is ideal in its 4mm thickness for use as undercloaking. It is also ideal as a lining sheet for agricultural buildings where a high-density sheet is not required.
The sheets are suitable for nailing, stapling or screwing to timber or metal supports using appropriate fixings.

Strips available in 4 mm thick
149 mm wide @ 1220 & 2440 mm long for undercloaking
Support Structure
The sheets can be nailed, stapled or screwed to supports at 600 mm c/c. The fixings should be 13 mm or greater from the edge at 200 mm c/c along the edge batten. On the intermediate batten fixings can be at 300 mm c/c. Fixings need to be no closer than 50 mm to the corners.
Installation
The boards can be fixed with the long edge either horizontal or vertical. Each board can be butted up to its neighbour but must not be flexed to position giving a tight fix as this will cause bowing of the boards as the building moves an as air moisture content changes.
Fixings
Screws fixing can be achieved with the Torque pan head screws (40 x 4.2 mm) at the above described spacings.
Nailing can be achieved using a 40 x 2.8 mm long stainless steel clout nail with a 6.5 mm head at the above described spacings.
Stapling the boards would be at the above described spacings using a staple of 12 mm wide minimum, which gives adequate penetration into the structure. Length of the staple to be advised by the staple manufacturer.
High wind loadings or exceptional impact requirements
The application of these boards is for lining purposes and internal use only therefore will not be exposed to wind loads.
If high impact is expected then the introduction of additional support members to increase the panels resistance, if loading is due to animals or storage of product then higher strength boards are advised such as InduCo HD 10mm board.
Surface mounted features
Where other building features, i.e. signs, canopies, lighting etc. are to be fixed then additional batten work should be included and clearance holes provided through the boards under no circumstances should the boards receive additional structural load.
Ventilation
The boards do not need any ventilation themselves as they are for internal use only.

Storage
InduCo M boards should be stored flat on pallets in dry conditions, under cover and protected from the weather. If moisture is allowed to penetrate between the stored sheets, permanent staining will occur. The pallets should fully support the boards.
Handling
InduCo M boards tend to be more flexible than their timber equivalent and in certain circumstances difficult for one person to control. It is suggested to carry the boards on edge with two people.
Cutting
InduCo M can be cut very easily with a hard metal toothed handsaw or a circular saw with a tungsten carbide blade. It is also possible to score the surface and break the board over a sharp straight edge; this does not give a clean cut through the thickness and is therefore not the advised method of cutting for visible joints.
Finishing
InduCo M is not a board intended to be decorated but if a decorative colour finish is required to be added then the product must be suitable for covering a cement product.
These boards cannot be rendered over.
